Too Bad My Vote Won't Count

As I watch people at the Republican convention work themselves up into a frenzy over bashing Obama, it gives me a sinking feeling to know my vote won't even count. When I see people who could care less that we've accumulated over 3 trillion in debt over the last 8 years get riled up on their way to the voting booth, I wish my vote would count.

What do I mean that my vote won't count? California will go democrat by a wide margin. It's already factored into the calculations. Texas will go repulican, same thing. Obama will get all of California's electoral college votes, whether I vote for him, McCain, or nobody. It doesn't matter. There's a few states that could go either way, and the few people who live in those - they will decide the next president. It scares me. Are they going to pick the next president based on the pep rally frezy logic? I hope they're smarter than that, but I'm not holding my breath.
